My X-mas present was a gaggle of 3mm Drahz “not-Eldar” figures from Odizial Osmy. In anticipation, I’ve done an Eldar light titan, something on the order of a Revenant. This is a Corvus Belli Dakini Tacbot, reworked with pieces from my bits box – an unused jump-pack from a DP9 gear, kitbashed weaponry (and a DP9 rocket launcher) and two horns from a DP9 fleet scale corvette that I probably won’t finish any time soon.
The big bush hides support for the left leg, which was very weak and snapped during paint-stripping/assembly.

That looks pretty darn cool! I bet it’ll look proper huge next to some of those 3mm tanks.

Hopefully I will have some comparison shots up by the end of the month.

OK, here are the first comparison pictures. Here’s a host of Guardians, plus transport (three wave serpents and two falcons), advancing alongside the Revenant.

Nice! I expected it would look larger (probably because I tend to underestimate the size of 3mm infantry and vehicles, despite owning some myself) but I find it positive that it isn’t. It’s just the right size to look imposing but not like an absolute doomsday weapon that would render all the infantry and vehicles redundant.
Great paintjobs too. And good idea re-purposing that figure.28/12/2017 at 19:25 #80057
Remember that the Revenant is the Eldar LIGHT titan, too.
I still haven’t decided what to use for Warlords, so any suggestions are welcome!

They were originally orange and light blue, but I eventually decided the white looked better. I can’t wait to size them against the Vanguard not-marines!

The only thing they will have to kitbash would be striking scorpions and howling banshees. I have some striking scorpion kitbashes on the paint table right now.

You’re reigniting my old love for Eldar with this thread. They’re easily one of the best parts of the 40K universe. The only thing that stays my hand in regard to 3mm Eldar is the single-pose Wraithlords and Wraithguard.02/01/2018 at 02:30 #80439
Well, you can always kitbash them into doing other poses.

Striking Scorpions. These have been kitbashed with the addition of chainswords and a banner.
