As one of the games played this month at the monthly meeting of the DWG, this Battle of Stonne scenario gave us the chance to try out Fireball Forward 2nd Edition rules

Much fun was had and the rules played very well in this entertaining scenario.

If you would like to see how things played out, just follow the link to the club blog

If you are also looking to join a wargames club here in Devon then you might like to come along and check us out. We regularly play three different games a month right across the spectrum, specialising in historical wargaming and always aim to get visitors involved in a game on their first visit. You should also know that the first visit is free allowing you to decide if you would like to join us on a regular basis.

Details about where we meet and when are on the club blog together with plenty of examples of the kind of games we like to play.

Starting this month we are running a trial period of mid monthly meetings, details of which can be obtained by contacting the club via the the blog.

    Carojon:

A lovely table, great terrain, truly beautiful minis and an exciting choice for a battle. Your depiction of the French attack against the southwest corner of Stonne is very evocative of the real battle. The map is from Karl-Hanz Frieser’s Blitzkreig Legend I suspect, an excellent source indeed. Well done and thank you for sharing this with us. Bravo, sir!

    Cheers and good gaming.
