One of the Great War Spearhead scenario books mentions a hypothetical invasion of Germany by the Danes, which then begs the question what figures might one use for the Danes, in 15mm (or 10/12mm as an alternative)?

A brief Google reveals that the Danish wore blue grey uniforms with Jack boots and French style grey kepis. So, Austrians? Some commentators say many units were still wearing the midnight blue uniforms (the latter greatcoats persisting until 1940). So you could use Belgians, Chasseur a Pied or even 1864 Danes..

I certainly wouldn’t bother painting up a bunch of Danes specially.

1864 Danes in great-coat would work fine (Pendraken in 10mm). Belgians in greatcoat also work well.

Thanks! I have the GWSH scenario book on order so I will see what type of troops that hypothetical will require before considering an investment in Danish troops.
