It seems as though VR tech is gradually getting to a more user friendly (and exciting) state…..

Although I guess it will not be wallet friendly whenever one gets released in the UK!

I am honestly excited by the thought of a hands free lightweight hi def VR headset.

Even the mixed VR that microsoft are pushing would be awesome, just imagine smacking alien bugs flying around your own living room

I just hope the tech matures before my eyesight deteriorates too much from age

Interest include 6mm WW2, 6mm SciFi, 30mm Old West, DropFleet, Warlords Exterminate and others!

I’ve always fantasized about applying VR to miniatures games.  You’d need to set the head set somehow to the table layout – perhaps by establishing reference coordinates on the corners.  Play the game as normal, with the headset which records movement performed and things destroyed.  Press a button at any time to mark turns or phases and use a laser pointer to indicate shots and destroyed results, allowing the headset to “play back” the movements of the game, smoke from destroyed tanks or buildings and so on.
