Only SEVEN days until Blast-Tastic! is go!
Blast-Tastic! is a trial show I am doing where the only sort of games are sci-fi games and the only traders are those that sell sci-fi models.
I want to create a show where everyone is into the genre on display. I find that with most shows there is very little in the way of sci-fi goodness, this makes me sad as this is all I play.
I have encountered some snobbishness from historical gamers too when it comes to sci-fi, silly comments like ‘pretend’ and not ‘real’, which seems a little odd given we are just playing toy soldiers at the end of the day.
So, Blast-Tastic! Is a sci-fi themed show with sci-fi games and sci-fi traders, the only show where PEW PEW PEW noises are mandatory!

The Badlands is the area outside the Liao River Valley.
Not much is known about it, the only known settlement is that of Stonehaven.
Stonehaven was founded by Fingal Bissler and he is the unofficial mayor of the town.
The rest you have heard about the Badlands is probably just rumour and stories…
Below we can see more 2 of the ‘hybrid’ buildings of Stonehaven.
These are more permanent structures made initially from stone and then extended with scrap metal.
Here is a typical simple dwelling, a stone construction with a metal roof and a metal ‘soper’ generator on the rear.
Here is what started out as a simple dwelling, then an extension was added using left over scrap from Scooter when he upgraded Zippy Couriers.
Zippy Couriers was the first 'hybrid' building in Stonehaven.
Most are either of stone construction or scrap metal.
Zippy Couriers is both.
Zippy Couriers started as a simple stone structure, but as business grew, Scooter (the owner) needed to expand.
He wanted Zippy Couriers to stand out, so he expanded upwards!
Using scrap from the Marco Polo, a crashed commercial space vessel, he made Zippy Couriers the magnificent business it is today.

Stonehaven.
If you are brave enough, or maybe just foolish enough to drive into the Badlands for a few days, and manage to pick the right direction, you may just find Stonehaven.
It started off as just a few shacks, homes to the good people that harvest the Deema seed.
Then Fingal Bissler came to town, appointed himself mayor and set about making Stonehaven the place to be.
It grew as he took charge, and now Stonehaven is a thriving community that is responsible for over 60% of Kometenmelodies Deema seed exports off-world.
That sounds like a lot of money to the RDF and no doubt they will be along soon to find it, and introduce themselves to this lawless community!
