In recent years, I’ve been burned by not buying things when they were available, and then not being able to get them when I was ready to work on them, so I don’t worry about the lead pile any more.

I’m not an impulse buyer. I buy stuff that I know I’ll need, and get to it, when I get to it. I tend to cycle between about 250 and 1500 figs in my pile.
