I’m 62, and I still do the odd mad new big project. In the last couple of years the big things have been complete new Italian, German and British desert armies in 15mm and Persians and Parthians in 20mm. They are exceptions however, and hav been on the to do list for a long time ng, long time.

However, to make space for that, I’ve been thinning out my collection and getting rid of things which take up a lot of space and don’t get used much. I’ve sold all my 20mm WW2 stuff, all my fantasy, all my AK47 stuff, all my 15mm and 28mm Colonials, all my 1/6000 naval, and biggest of all, all my reenactment gear. I’m just too old to do it anymore, so that was two big cupboards full of uniforms, boots, webbing, period camping gear and enough weaponry to equip an entire rifle section.

It was very liberating getting rid of all that stuff, and the odd big new project aside, I mainly just fill in gaps in stuff I already have and play with those. I like painting tanks, so I do a lot of that…  I’m fortunate in that we have two remote gaming sessions a week and a monthly f2f session, so I  get a lot of gaming in.
