Update:

More stealth and lurking in dark places, and yes I found a prescribed German (ie Prussian) OB that names actual units and elements as they existed at the time, in preference to the shorthand ‘regimental numbers’ used now.

So here from the excellent ‘napoleon-online.de/’ forum is a missive from 2009 by the admin/ Owner Marcus Stein* responding to the question “Please tell me: Which Prussian regiments participated in battle of Prusse Eylau ?” :-

From the work From Jena to Pr. Eylau of the Baron v.d. Goltz (Berlin 1907) can quote the following passage- the composition of the column under General L’Estocq, which broke out of Hussehnen on 8.2.1807:

The column set off in the following order. In front rode
50 Towarczys and 40 Auer dragoons as the front, followed by

-the bulk of the vanguard- 9 squadrons of Auer dragoons and the Bredow cavalry battery.

-The main force marching behind them consisted of 3 small divisions, led by that of General von Auer:
-10 squadrons of Towarczy,
-half of the mounted battery Decker and

Then 3 battalions of the Russian Regiment of Wyburg –
-then the 2nd Division under General ?? of
-the 2 battalions of the Schoening Infantry Regiment and the Schlieffen.

Further back came-
-the regiment of General von Prittwitz:
-the Stutterheim Fusilier Battalion,
-5 squadrons of Prittwitz Hussars and
-half the Sowinski Mounted Battery.

So there we have it!
Seems to have been a very effective force in its limited endeavours, and a probable scene for gaming reconstruction in its small form and favourable scenarios, mixed at times with Russians, should go well.
No definitve decision being made yet, but see how progress goes the rest of this year, 😉
