The big single bases for units worked very nicely. People do occasionally ask about this, so in future I can point them to this report.
I looked at using Warlords Epic figures but was put off with the 3 bases per unit for my H&M games (even with tripling the mat size) and found I like one base = one unit more. The Warlord ACW figures get very expensive having to buy lots of frames for the command strip 🙁
I like the idea of different dice colours denoting unit quality but have to ask if “including the post-battle phase that went on until about 3am” is a polite way of saying drinking and chatting 🙂
