Love the fountain – great use of a piece I would never imagine being used for these size figures!

As for the doors – could you make them ‘L’ shaped by creating a little step? This way they should lean against the wall and not tip forward.

I did think of saying use thin plasticard to slip/tuck under the walls (like an inverted ‘T’ but I’m not convinced that would work as the slightest kink in the plastic would either lift the wall or stop it easily sliding under and without the step they could lean away from the wall…
