What talent? Does it include English?

Ha! I’ve heard the same accusations leveled at Phil Barker. Personally I don’t mind a more conversational style of rules, like V&F or Black Powder rather than, say, the more legal or SPI writing structure rules of Crossfire. I find them easier and more entertaining to read, and yet I like playing both games.

To be honest, I feel V&F is currently in a semi playtest state. It’s changed from its first incarnation certainly. And perhaps my impression is based on the fact that it is written rather loosely, as many playtest rules are before publication.
