I used to live there, but moved to fresher climates a while ago. But I have been working in the Caribbean for a few years recently.

The wire doesn’t get hot enough to transfer heat to the pattern, interestingly. Instead it seems to just dissipate. Without the pattern that cut would be totally impossible of course!

I like the escarpment hexes too! They’re very satisfying to make and give a very nice “sunken” look to my terrain – taller ones I’ve done make convincing canyons and buttes for desert terrain.
