Update… not especially good on foam. slightly weaker than PVA in my opinion.

I have finished my test piece. as a final Open Invitation to the Lords of Mold, after I painted it I slathered it in a home made ‘Not Modpodge’ of Wheat Paste, Matt Varnish and a drop of Detergent. It dried perfectly clear, and the piece has a charming robust character, goes ‘Clack’ when I tap it with a pen.

I shall now place the sacrificial item in the cellar – not exactly damp or exactly dry, but a fair test – and will report back in a few months if I remember.
