Far Cry 4? I enjoyed the heck out of it, and it has plenty of upgrade to buy.
Story was weaker than 3 but still pretty decent and blowing up eagles never gets old.

Obviously not scifi of course.

Is weird-history okay? Wolfenstein the New Order is fantastic. Surprisingly great story telling and you get to blast Nazi robots with electricity guns.
