Where did that extra ‘r’ in Varus come from?
There is a picture of a Batavian cavalry helmet in Goldsworthy with real (animal) hair on the helmet to complete the picture
I have to confess I’m not sure how practical this would have been in battle.
(I’d still use the figure if I wanted though).
