No line at all for me. I use converted board game rules for large Sengoku Jidai battles, Phil Sabin’s ‘Lost Battles’ for ancients, and did try out one of the Men of Iron series for Crusades. That’s in addition to using grid-based games like To The Strongest and some of the Peter Pig rules.

One of the differences in historical gaming is that boardgames typically aim at modelling particular battles, whereas wargames rules aim at modelling the warfare of the period more generally, as well as usually being geared towards ‘fair’ battles. So when it comes to re-fighting historical battles, board games can have some useful ideas as far as scenario design goes.
