And good point Thomaston. I tend to keep all my old rules too, although I admit I usually default to the newest. Interesting point about Five Leagues. Having never played either, I might take a look at both to compare. Most times the second edition of rules is better, as it tends to clean up the oddities that appear after players in the wild have had a chance to stress test them more than playtesters have.
But I shall defer to your opinion as I’ve never tried first or second edition!
