No modifiers. Actually that’s a cardinal rule I stuck with. What you see on the dice is always the result you got.
Traits do one of two things:
1: They let you roll twice, picking the result you want (that is usually the higher one but sometimes it’ll throw up an interesting choice).
2: THey let you roll something you couldn’t normally have attempted. (like using a STRONG trait to lift a rock that’s far too heavy).
Either way, the trait is “burnt” making it unavailable until you’ve rested up a bit or won something.
