They idea was that vehicles would be supplied in a universal colour that was good for all terrain types, that could then be modified by units locally, using the supplied green and brown paint, to match local terrain conditions.

Well yeah I know that, I’ve got all of Bruce Culver’s Panzer Colors books ๐Ÿ™‚

My idle musings were about why they chose colours totally different to anyone else in the theatres named. Solid green was almost universal, so why grey, panzer grey and yellow?
