Thanks Victoria! Yes, I think they work well as a solo game, the only issue is that you would know what tactics your ‘opponent’ is going to use. With a human opponent, you reveal them at the same time, so one’s card choice may trump the other. The recce tactic allows you to attack first unless you both play it then it is negated, for example.

I played it on a 6′ x 4′ with 6″ squares, so all you’d have to do is reduce the squares to 3″ and if you made the unit bases small enough you’d easily get away with it. There is a maximum of three units in a square, so as long as your bases fit in that area, you’d be grand!
