I am looking for a giant to use with my WFB armies.
The Copplestone one is very cool but at about 40mm tall not quite tall enough.
Anyone know of any giants aimed at 10/15mm that are about 50mm tall?

You could mail Leon and check how tall the Pendraken giants are:

No 28mm ogres or trolls that fit the bill? Nothing springs to mind but I just wonder if there is anything more slender in build that would work….

    And a Google gives…

https://www.alternative-armies.com/products/fl25-ogre-mercenary which looks pretty good to me though the axe may need to be clubbed.

Plus 28mm figures don’t have the right look. Need shields as knee pads. Planks of wood as shin guards. Things that let you know it is a giant.

There are a few good models of giants on thingsverse. They could easily be scaled to 50mm and printed.

Dark alliance 1/72nd scale cyclops’. I’m using them as 15mm giants. Great value too, 12 in a box (4 poses) for £8

Polar Fox (https://www.polarfox.info/10mm_Miniatures/cat2627800_2334741.aspx) have these at 20 euros. They are on 20x40mm bases.

Reaper Miniatures (https://www.reapermini.com/) have several ogres, at just under a ten quid, that might do – eg Garnuk or Bones plastic ones at around four quid

Heresy have Big Boris for somewhere over a tenner depending on choices you make

    Do any of those help?

The old Tabletop Minis fire giant from Alternative Armies is about 50mm tall:

For 15mm I use a variety of 28mm and larger figures for trolls and giants.  You can really use what you wish.

    Indeed!
But for me I want things that make it clear it is a giant when looked at in isolation.
So the model I now have has a tree for a club, some heads of regular sized people as a necklace and indeed some 10mm people tucked into its belt as a snack.
There is no way you could mistake it is a giant when viewed away from other figures.

    🙂

For example your Ogre model has a cannon as a gun, very clearly a big creature.

The Warmaster giant is quite a different build, which hasn’t stopped me using the ogres as Meadow Giants in my Marienburg Crusade army.

I’ve stumbled across these on eBay – both of which look pretty cool. I am looking at doing 2nd ed Warhammer and in the army lists you can have a Giant army and there’s 3 sizes of giant. (Just like the BFG)
