1066 – Not Hastings, a mix of tongue-in-cheek narrative and AAR from the 1066 period with 12mm figures, played out on a large pinboard.

Looks really good and I love the big bases!

Thanks, I have been really unsure about this, with me changing my mind twice! However, the 80mm fits my 100mm hex tiles fine and it seemed daft moving multiple bases that always stayed together. The downside is that with my hex terrain, the slopes are quite rounded and so the big base can look a bit strange with one end typically hanging in the air – but overall, the advantages are with the big base.
It will be very interesting to see how this plays out with different rules. I always love these sorts of comparisons.
