I’ve painted 2 figs. from the 15mm Team Yankee U.S. Mech infantry pack as current Afghan National Army. Fairly pleased with the result, the Cold War US troops have similar enough kit to the re-equipped ANA that you can’t tell the difference at tabletop distance.

They look very good.

Thanks for the comments.
Ultra modern 15mm is still sparse enough that you still need a little bit of “thinking outside the box”.
Once the Team Yankee U.S. Rifle platoon comes out early next year I think I’ll be building a platoon strength unit.
I’m not a fan of BF’s new bendy plastic figures. But who knows they may work for you.
I think the new U.S. infantry will still be in metal. The preview on Breakthrough Assault implies that anyway. http://btassault.wpengine.com/incoming-intel-stripes-product-guide/
