The lads at Timecast tell me that they are about to start stocking the 19th Century Miniatures range.  This is very good news if you happen to want British regulars in Albert Shako or Kilmarnock cap.  I’ve seen these figures used for the Maori Wars and for Ridgeway in Canada and I reckon they’d do for the later Cape Wars too.  I’ve two bags of them winging their way to me through the post so I’ll report back once I have them.

Meantime I thought some of you folks might be interested in the news.

The brand name is Rank and File  Miniatures and I now have them.  They seem a good fit with Battle Honours.

My 1877 Turks (who double for Crimean War in a pinch) are Rank and File, nice figures. Now maybe to get the 1877 Russians…
