Hi all,
An army begins with the first unit, and so I have started the Army of Estremadura with the Badajoz Regiment that was in the front rank of battalions forming General Portago’s 3rd Spanish Division.
The regiment had been rebuilt prior to Talavera following two disastrous battles the previous year and displayed the results of this history, being one of the four battalions that broke to the rear after firing a volley at French cavalry pickets.
If you would like to know more about this unit or the Army of Estremadura, then as always, just follow the link to JJ’s

Lovely models Jonathan, the brown and red colours go well together.
