I’ve been working on an abandoned gas station model for my post-apoc games this week, and thought I’d share a couple of pics:
There are a few more day by day progress pics on my blog at:
It is based on an actual abandoned gas station, though I’ll need to age it a bit more for the post apocalypse.
Thanks for looking.

That is a brilliant idea, and is already looking good – definitely want to see more as you progress – funnily enough, I was watching the old Stephen King directed flick of his story ‘Maximum Overdrive’ the other day……. Trucks and cars come alive and go after those pesky humans…… Emilio Estevez holed up in a truck stop/ diner /gas station……. LAW 80s taking out Green Goblin faced Semi-rigs etc etc (ahhhh, the warm glow of 80’s nostalgia)….. And was thinking of just such terrain……
Always admired your Sci-Fi bunker complex detailed on you blog, so looking forward to the finished article.

Thanks for the comments.
I’m going to use art of the bunker in my post-apoc world, probably with an additional piece or two.
The gas station is moving along, though a bit more slowly than I expected. Probably have it done this weekend. Here’s an updated pic:04/12/2017 at 16:50 #77820Darkest Star GamesParticipant
Dude, you even laid tile! It’s looking very good so far.

Very nice! I would be very happy to clear said location of Rad Scorpions, pillage it of supplies, and repair my powered armor there for further adventures any time! Really does look the part.

Superb work – ready for Zombies or RoadWarriors alike! – would it be really weird to say I am loving the stains? – they really give the building that aged, abandoned look, and as for the tiled floor – a masterstroke – must have been a bit labour intensive to do, but really adds to the atmosphere of Post Apocalyptic neglect….
Of course you need to add a decrepit forecourt now, with gas pumps and a few wrecked cars……12/12/2017 at 00:35 #78587
The forecourt will come in the form of a foam tile that fits into my modular terrain. There will be an island with some remainder of pumps (more than with the actual station), some sort of indication of the fence located around most of the lot, and a fancy sign post. Hopefully, I’ll have something by next weekend.12/12/2017 at 14:57 #78623NoelParticipant
Really great looking.12/12/2017 at 20:09 #78685Northern MonkeyParticipant
That’s some serious dedication, when you’ve finished that floor can you come round and look at the tiling in my bathroom :-p

I finally got the base finished for the gas station. I was working on it with the highway sections, and finished up the other bits today. Here are a couple of pics:
There are a few more pics posted on my blog if interested:
