    Hi there,

A while ago I painted up a platoon of the excellent 28mm Pig Iron system troopers. I thought I would share them here.  Im normally a fan of the smaller scales so painting these up was a bit of a departure for me. I enjoyed painting them though!

Anyway, here they are! (if the photos work…)

    Command team.

One of the Fire teams, with attached squad support weapon.

    Sniper team (my personal favorite!)

Fire support mech, with interchangeable weapon load-outs.

    The full platoon.

    More pictures etc here-

I hope you like. Now, for the point of this post!

Does anyone have any recommendations on some decent rules? I have tried (and sold) Tomorrows war. What else is out there?

    Steve

    Outstanding brushwork on outstanding figures!

Pig Iron figures rock – and Simon is a super guy! I can’t recommend his products or his customer service enough. You can’t go wrong with Pig Iron!

    Thanks for the kind words.

Shawn, I totally agree, the service from Pig iron is top notch, just like their miniatures.

Im trying to work out what I should do as their enemies. I’m thinking the Kolony rebels/Ferals look pretty good…well pretty awesome to be honest… Mind you, I have a TON of unpainted GW tau that may serve as a good high tech enemy for them too…..

I have had a look at the rules mentioned so far, but will need to give them a good read later, thanks chaps.

On an unrelated note kind of….. I may have given the impression that the TW rules are not very good, that’s not the case. The problem I had with them was they are a bit too involved, meaning that as I very rarely get a game, it would mean re-learning every time I played… I just need something far simpler and quick playing. TW wasnt for me thats all, however its a great book, wonderfully produced by Osprey.

    Cheers.

I wish Pig Iron would expand on this range and his original Heavy Infantry.

Yeah, I’d like to see some system trooper heavy weapon teams, anti tank guns and the like…? Im really liking his latest offerings though, cool stuff indeed.
