Poor photos from my tablet but these are may 3mm Adeptus Titanicus set currently. Models are Stalkers from Vanguard with there 6mm not Dreadnaughts as knights. I am still awaiting the release of the larger stalker which I believe is in he pipe line.
Expect some finalised picks soon…the GW paint for size context
And you can see four more coming along in the background…06/04/2020 at 00:59 #134318
Awesome! I’m working on the exact same thing. Having read a lot of good reviews I was inspired… Ineptus minutus. Have you been playing? After reading the rules and a lot of AARs now I’m thinking it sounds like a lot of titans just slogging it out. Almost every report involves the Titans walking within range and unloading…
Excited to see the rest of your project!06/04/2020 at 15:45 #134367
Really cool stuff! I just bought a load of AT stuff so a friend and I could play, but then CoronaV… Titan Legions was my first actual GW boxed game (after the plastic beaky marines, of course!) and I played all the way up through to when Specialist games stopped. Hadn’t touched it since till now, and of course all new stuff is required >00<
This is a great idea, just loving it! Talk about space saving.
As far as the slog outs. We have played a few games where the sides were totally different, like a reaver and 2 warhounds vs. 10 knights, or 2 warlords vs a reaver and 4 warhounds. You can do some interesting stuff strategy-wise, but in the end it is all about the titans smashing each other…

Those look really nice Steven!
D.S. – Again, I haven’t played yet, from some of what I’ve read it sounds like the recommended table size of 4×4 is too small for maneuvering when using Warlords. Basically their weapon range is so long they can shoot the entire table.
I’m hoping that with a larger relative table size, and more knights/war hounds it might be more dynamic. Back-up plan – I’ll probably go with the Old Titan Legions rules (which was also my first miniature game, a present from my brother).
I bought two full Ferrox Maniples plus a dozen knights/dreadnoughts. I’ve almost got my first maniple painted.
For warlord proxies I was thinking the old plastic warlords might scale well. I wish I had kept mine!06/04/2020 at 16:44 #134377

If you’re wanting to mix it with the new stuff, no way, they’re tiny compared to the new models! With 3mm, gosh, they’d be larger than Imperators!

Yes, totally agree with this. We played on a 6×5 table, and had LOTS of terrain, but even then it was tough. We also played an ambush game where the knights were able to start off closer to the Warlords. Had great fun using the Warhounds to strip voidshields then having the little guys just knife fight!
I still have all of the old Space Marine game rules as well as the AT rules and supplements (on 3 ring binders even!) from the additions and White Dwarf articles from the 90’s. Good times…

Well some pictures of the full set so far…2 side each of 1 Reaver, 2 Warhounds and 3 knights. I have plans to expand with some close combat knights but need to get on with scenery. Normally I love to use Hirst Arts casts but they will not work on this scsle so will go with a desert theme, rocky outcrops and then some buildings when I can justify spending more…..06/04/2020 at 23:50 #134398

Those look good… Any chance of a frontal shot? I think I will probably wait on Warlords to keep a consistent asthetic and my Tau are the bit of 40k I am not planning to dump on eBay but it is tempting07/04/2020 at 14:21 #134434
Steven – I double checked on the Tactical Command Forum, and the old plastic Warlords from the first Adeptus Titanicus are 1/500 scale. So I think they would be a legitimate option, I know Vanguard has said more Stalkers and some actual Knight sized models are in the pipeline but I didn’t see either mentioned as things on the table for this year.07/04/2020 at 16:04 #134448
Thanks, I am sure I have a beatle back somewhere and am planning of selling one of the midpoint metal ones they did with the more square carapace when I can dig it out and eBay it…never like anything other than the original plastic warlords. However I am in no rush on this, my mound of unpainted is growing anyway with Nighthaunt and Storm casts and I still have a lot of Super Dungeon Explore chibi that need some loving.07/04/2020 at 17:18 #134451Mr. AverageParticipant
Personally I always like to skew big when it comes to titans. It conjures up the insanity of the 40K milieu to have walking war machines the size of skyscrapers. I have a couple Emperor mega-titans I’ve accumulated that I’m going to use at 3mm scale for that reason: they really become walking cathedrals at that scale and the true madness of the universe becomes more palpable. So even if they look a touch big, I would be inclined to embrace the old plastic warlords if you have them, as they’ll be pretty proper and supremely big at 3mm scale in line with the game’s spirit.07/04/2020 at 20:20 #134455
Mr Average, I have just uncovered my 2mm buildings from Brigade Models…someone on face book suggested that they were to small for looking right but as I have no plans for infantry ( or rather am fighting my want to buy some) it should just upscale the titians. Will try and post up some pics tomorrow to see how it goes07/04/2020 at 23:05 #134461

They are not much taller than the reavers, really but do mass a lot more. Note that I swap out the Tau heads, which make them much more gothic looking.

Few pics…I get started on a board…simple sand and glue with unwanted mixed colour from B and Q, ink was and then some cheap flock.
Also a few of the 2mm buildings – these really need to have a base to just raise them up like the Titans.10/04/2020 at 16:45 #134588

Nice! You’re going to need some skyscrapers and mountains to hide behind!

Painted up a little village from the Brigade Models buildings I had. Kept it simple in colours but really liked the little models. And I think it goes fine with the Stalkers24/04/2020 at 04:16 #135278
I love the little village! With the titans, it almost looks steampunky!

This looks so right I wonder why GW even made the game in the bigger scale.
Tired is enough.
I like tiny miniatures
