    These are very nice, but they illustrate one of the problems with 3mm moderns (and WWII): the infantry blends too easily into the background if you base them realistically.

    There are two solutions to this, which can be used separately or together:

    1) Flock or base contrary to troop color scheme. So, say, feldgrau Germans on a yellow flocked base.

    2) Move the castings closer together to increase the visual impact of the models, relative to the base, at a decrease in realism.

    The third solution is to just go realistic as you have done and accept the fact that the figures will disappear from view at arm’s length.

    I think part of it is my camera. In retrospect I would maybe double the number of figures.  I am going to Ann labels and I hope players will be so busy with the double blind aspect, they won’t notice.

    They are nice! And labels will help them pop, yes!
