ParticipantAll,
I’ve been pretty scarce lately, lots of stuff going on at work and with the family. But I wanted to drop a quick post to show what my 5Core Brigade Command stands are going to look like.
And here they are, the first two completed bases. Each base is a company, so a tank company of T-72s and a mechanized company of BMP-2s and infantry. These are for my ‘green’ WarPac side. I have an equal sized-force in khaki, then NATO green and khaki to do.
Another view.
And one more.I took most of my old WarPac vehicles and put them on bases. With the new stuff, I’ve got about 45 stands (3 vehicles each) of ‘green’ tanks and about 40 stands (3 vehicles each) of ‘green’ APCs, plus arty, air defense, engineers, recon, etc… Then I’ve got a matching force in khaki. Then I’ve got NATO stuff.
I think, due to my lack of planning, I may have gone a bit too far… I am really not sure what I’m going to do with all this stuff, as I’ve got way more than I need for Brigade Commander.
If you’re interested you can check the blog for some more info on what I’ve been up to:
http://blackhawkhet.blogspot.com/2015/02/my-latest.htmlI’ve got a long weekend coming up and resolved to finish up my Poland campaign, so stay tuned.

ParticipantJust Jack:
You can never have too much micro armour! Your stands look good and I hope they allow you to play many thrilling games. I looked at your blog and read your whole report. BTW I have been reading your WWII KG Klink reports and I am almost caught up. I only have #11 left to read- I jumped ahead and read #12 already.
Cheers and good gaming.

ParticipantYou have been busy, and yes you did over buy…but then I do that as well. I’ve been re-basing modern figures and seem to have miss placed my pulp female figures. And as you have seen started a FCC game…

ParticipantNice! What size are those bases? Having played a few games of Company Commander now, my thoughts have been turning to how to base up for Brigade games. I’d been going for 3mm 08, but I’ve a lot of 6mm kicking its heels, so might actually base up both sizes.

ParticipantLooking good, do you plan to have any ID marks on the vehicles or bases for quick referencing in game? Or is there a sneaky system going on with the bits of foliage, denoting which unit they are by amount present? I find that kinda really handy especially when things get up close and messy on the table.

ParticipantHoly cow, quite a few responses, thanks fellas.
Rod – “You can never have too much micro armour!” Perhaps, but you can have more than you’ll ever get on the table, and that’s what my worry is. And the fact I keep perusing GHQ’s website and Ebay for more. It’s sickness… Now that you’re all caught up I need to do some more write-ups (I have two I haven’t gotten to yet).
Kyote – “You have been busy, and yes you did over buy…” Yes and yes. And hurry up with your 15mm stuff, I want to see deep into some Company Command. And find your Elvira 😉
Jim – The bases are 60mm x 40mm, and they’re just fitting three of the large, modern MBTs. I love PicoArmor/Oddzial Ozmy, but this 6mm stuff looks pretty cool too 😉
Spurious – “…is there a sneaky system going on…” Nothing sneaky man, I’m not clever enough for that. But I will marking them, probably just with a Sharpie on the back edge. I agree about needing something to identify the units; if you’ve read any of my batreps you’ve seen I’m big into following units through a campaign, so I absolutely have to have a means of identifying them. But I’m lazy so I just take a marker and do it. Works for me.
Thanks again guys, and I’m glad to hear about all the guys getting stuff ready for Company and Brigade Command. Take care.
