I was just about to comment on the strange base! Nice figures though!
I would have thought your choice of skirmishers depends. Do your bases represent specific units or just generic brigades?
It is a weird shape alright, yes, it’s specific for Blucher and includes the firing arc and centre line, from where all measurements are made in the game. This unit is a tester unit, so is generic. I am thinking of doing historical ones in the future though!

No, you don’t need bases like that. It matches the cards which show the firing zones, but all of mine are on 80mmx60mm normal bases.
No you don’t need them, but they are sold by Sally 4th as Blucher bases, that is what I meant by ‘Blucher specific’.
