Thought I’d start a topic to see what all is out there. Charles Oines just told me that this beauty is in 6mm scale!
can be gotten from his Irrational Designs shapeway spage: https://www.shapeways.com/shops/irrationaldesigns
At $35usd it isn’t cheap, but also not too expensive for such a good looking ship.
What else is out there?

Revell Easy Kit 1/288 Millenium Falcon, close enough for 6mm, can be picked up cheap and simple to build.
GZG have a shuttle or scout vessel in 6mm…..they did it in 15 and 28 too! There a couple of Landers and interface vehicles from Daemonscape..
There is a 6mm Star Trek shuttle/run about , sold as a Xmas tree decoration…….also a6mm Firefly from the Firefly Yahtzee dice game……..try Amazon.com for these two.

Hrm, was hoping there was more out there. Mayhaps I’ll have to go and be a pioneer…

Trouble is anything a decent size for 6mm is going to be fairly big, therefore relatively expensive and likely low sales numbers.
I personally would love to see a range of large 6mm Landers, Dropships and such like for my human, bug and android armies.
Maybe when i win the lottery i will commission some!
Interest include 6mm WW2, 6mm SciFi, 30mm Old West, DropFleet, Warlords Exterminate and others!23/01/2018 at 08:56 #82512
I found some others in the Space Fleet Yamato models, McDonald’s toys,Thunderbirds by Ertl and an impressive lander from Old Crow.
Several H&R vehicles for scale, the Falcon from Revell.
Interface shuttles from the Japanese model world…
Larger armed shuttles……again from Japan, plastic kits that are very simple to assemble.
A modified Thunderbird from Ertl…….EBay bargain as it is missing the tail.
Old Crow behemoth….
McDonald’s fleet landers…..
Crowded landing zone!

Here’s a link to HLJ in Japan, very cheap even with international shipping!
This one is pretty scaleless when built, makes a nice 6mm in system patrol boat along with several others in this range…..I pitch 6mm fighters against them etc for orbital combat games……much like WW2 coastal forces games……escorts and convoy duties.
As a true wargamer,I of course couldn’t help myself and the patrol boat/fighter game grew with the addition of larger corvettes, frigates and destroyers (these are 8-16″ long)……

Good stuff, thanks!!
I believe the silver ships are from Gundam, an early version of the cruiser Cima commanded in 0083, and capable of atmospheric reentry, and exit with a booster (as you have). Thanks for putting the tanks in there for scale, helps a ton.
Going to have to get some of those Cosmo Hounds, they do indeed look fantastic for something like civilian trans-orbital airline shuttles.

Soooo… I started scratch building some ships for a RPG campaign I am running. I’ll start a new topic shortly when I have some progress to show but I just wanted y’all to be forewarned!

I was going to make a new topic but saw this one and thought it’d be better to put on here.
Avoid Irregular Miniatures “6mm” spaceship range. They are not even remotely 6mm scale, more like 1mm or 2mm scale. I made it clear that I was after a true 6mm scale ship that wouldn’t look tiny next to my 6mm humans, something that I was assured they could do for me. What I got were these:
My follow-up which explained again what I was after and requested a refund was responded to with “a man stands taller than a car, and can still drive it.” So yeah, don’t use him for 6mm scale spaceships, he doesn’t have any. Oh, there was no issue at all with my wanting a refund. I’ve sent them back and am expecting my refund early next week.

I can see what they’re saying in relation to the y-wing sort of ship, but not the others. I’ve got some scratch builds brewing (they’ll be small merchant type ships, like free traders, a cattle hauler, small luxury cruise ship, a survey scout and dirty pirates!) but also have some fighters I’m working on in 3d which are meant to be 15mm (1/100) but there will also be a 6mm (1/300) version made. So, rest assured, they will fit in with our figures!

Mad Mecha Guy does a ’15mm ‘ space ship which is 60 x 40 15 cms in MDF:
I know it’s not 6mm, but I thought it might be of interest …
He also has a range of ‘UFOs’ that might do:
not sure about doors & things like that …
