I’ve mentioned this project a few times on a couple of forums and have finally gotten round to posting up some pictures etc: http://ablogofwar.blogspot.co.uk/

Good looking armies, there! 6mm is excellent for ‘mass’ effect.
Have you seen the Rather Large Towton Project? A group of guys decided to recreate the battle of Towton in 6mm using 17000 figures! They took it to several shows a few years ago.
Mad, but inspiring!

Hi Cerdic, yeah the Towton project was one of things that made me reconsider using 6mm for this period, I was lucky enough to see it set up and was very impressed by it, especially as I live about 4 miles from Towton and know the battlefield quite well

Very nice, the more I see small scale stuff the more I am tempted. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks William.
Well that blog post did the job, and inspired me to crack on, I’ve since painted 3 more units for the neutral pool(hand gunners, artillery and dismounted MAA all in Warwicks livery), and during drying times managed to finish 60 epic space wolves and a bike squadron, result!!

Hi, great job so far. I was involved in the Towton project, and painted ALOT of the figures for it. Its taken me a long time to regain my sanity !
Whilst working on the Towton project I also painted up my own WOTR armies, which can be seen here –

Thanks Yorkie, though it pales in comparison to your efforts, love the Epic stuff on your blog by the way, which is my current project B, only about 300 bases to go on that one
