ParticipantThe second batch of 6mm models, these ones are intended for small warband and dungeoncrawling games:
I have 3 warbands to share today, with the promise of more later this spring (Goblins may or may not be finished eariler than the rest..)
First we have the Lizardmen. Led by a warchief, this small band has extra muscle in the form of a Ceratopcid.
Not unlike the bigger army, the Undead warband is lead by a Necromancer. A wight and a wraith joins the horde of skeletons, adding even more power to the band.
Last of today’s warbands is the men of the Ashen wastes. A Warlord carrying a rune-adorned shield leads them, accompanied by a Sorcerer and his summoned demons.
These guys are the first of what I hope to make many, as always there are some more shots on the blog:

More to come, along with dungeon tiles!

ParticipantThe Goblins, not to be outdone by anyone, also got a warband:
Slightly bigger than most of the others, since quantity is a quality all of it’s own, or so the warboss says anyway.
There are a few close-ups on the blog:

ParticipantI just finished up the Dark Elves, my 5th warband in 6mm to date.
Like the Gobbos, they are a few more than the others, so I might need to bulk up the old warbands now to bring them all up to the same size..

MemberI have to say I’m feeling really inspired by your various microscale projects on this forum.
I’ve been unhappy with the 6mm fantasy ranges currently available, but that’s mainly because I’ve been assessing them from a massed battle point of view. As miniatures for a micro-skirmish project they’re rather more interesting. Your posts are making me see them in a new light. The dark elves, lizardmen and evil humans are my favourites among these.

Participant@Rhoderic: Thank you, I’m glad I could inspire someone else! I had a similar issue with 6mm models until Michael of Angel Barracks and Steve of Microworld showed me the light ๐
Microworld games is my absolute favorite, but Irregular and Baccus has some nice sculpts too!
@Brigadier General: Thanks! ๐

ParticipantMicroword stuff is fantastic. I just wish they were available through a UK distributor, or I could find them at UK shows.
Sitting somewhere in the lead pile is a small bunch of Microworld ‘Woodland’ (i.e.. Wood Elf) figures, I’d love to get to them one day. Though they’re so small I think I’ve lost them…
