After trying out a few games of FiveCore skirmish, it was time to move to where I really wanted to play – FiveCore Company Command. I used 6mm on a small table (20”x30”) and solo played a scenario from the excellent Vzyama or Bust (1941 East Front). It was one of the scenarios I did not get to play when I ran a campaign using the book a few years ago.
The battle report can be found here:

The AAR got a little out of control and has lots of pictures and text. I did enjoy the game but as I say at the end of the report, Company Command is a step up from skirmish in the diversity of stuff on the table and so I found I was looking at the rules more than I would have thought. A few more games and I can see it will all be embedded in my head. I already have the next scenario from Vzyama or Bust lined up ready to play.

Lastly, note that while I really did enjoy the game, my Ancents mojo has returned after two years hiatus and am likely to focus on some games with my 15mm Ancients (another post coming on that topic). Not to say I will stop WW2, just slow down; it just may be a little while before you see the next 6mm WW2 report.
I like this. I am just beginning my 6mm WW2 journey.
