Very nice ๐

Hey Allen. Nice looking table and work. I spot a larger A-10 in the background! Looks like a plug and play foamy. Personally I like WWI and balsa but as long as we all have fun.
Getting around to painting the minis I got from you a few years back. All 1/285 and almost all middle east. Have three billboards painted, two finished and one waiting an inspiring poster. One has a Coca Cola sign (useful anywhere in the world) and the other a celebration of Bongpolesia day. Mostly done painting the Olympic hotel. I opted to make the name on the sign red for eye catching purposes. The rest pretty much matches your pictures of the real one. Still to add the zig zag green on the tile(?).
Madman, Yeah, I love the new ARF and BNF models … I really don’t have a lot of time to build anymore with my business taking most of my creative time. I’ve been in the RC hobby for over 40 years, I’ve paid my dues with thousands of hours of building kits and models from scratch … now I just want to fly ๐

I like building partially for the building and partly to have something no one else at the field has. Tried to get into it as a teen but no joy. Got into it about 30 years ago but little flying since getting back into gaming.
Seems the hotel Olympic is from the movie(?). I found pictures of the actual one in Mogadishu and other than the sign not much similar.
Madman, the Olympic Hotel that we do is the one from the movie and I think you’ll find its very accurate to the movie version.

Great table setup and beautiful minis!
It matches the movie very well. I guess they used a local building where they filmed they felt was suitable. Reasonable approach.
