I bought a 15mm Qajar Persian Army Deal from Irregular Miniatures. I added a few bits to it to provide extra units. Every now and then I paint a unit or so.
I got a fair bit done recently and finished off the regular infantry and camel gunners.
The army is now pretty much done. If it is of interest here’s the link to my blog.

Fascinating and excellent as usual.
I confess, to my shame that I knew nothing about the Qajar Persian dynasty until I saw your earlier piece about this army, last year some time? I don’t what I thought had happened between the Safavids and the arrival of the Russians and Brits.
Lovely little (?) army.
Yes, a fascinating army; I have just been listening to the Persian section in Alexander Mikaberidze’s Napoleonic Wars: A Global History and there are lots of potential uses for them.
Thanks Guy. Hope you’re doing well. Not a big one certainly, so far 4 battalions of regulars, 3 squadrons of cavalry, 3 tribal cavalry, 3 Kurdish lancers, 2 units of camel gunners, 1 of horse artillery and 1 of skirmishers.
As you say Whirlwind no shortage of opponents for them.

Very lovely
What sources did you find for this army? I stumbled across this awhile ago – https://www.wargamevault.com/m/product/168892
Definitely seems like a fun army to paint up. I quite like your results OB!

Cheers Tony,
Chris Flaherty had a website of his research on the army, lots of Ottoman stuff too. Subsequently he published a book on the Persian Army.
There are still a lot of images if you google Qajar Persian Army.
