I gave my Spanish Civil War game Arriba é Non Pasaran it’s first outing.

It’s pretty much a synthesis.  Ideas and systems have been freely adopted and adapted to produce a card driven game. There is an after- action report on my blog if it’s of interest.

The pic’s are from the game.

Very nice looking game.   The concept of using a scatter die for solo play is so simple – but utterly brilliant and, as far as I know, novel!

I was also quite relieved that the wandering bull made it safely through the gun fire unscathed.  No need to call PETA then.

    Cheers Tony.

I needed to use the scatter die for where stray explosive rounds landed if that ‘event’ occurred and to set the direction of the bull’s travels. The bull is getting a new paint job for being nice.  No one is allowed to shoot the bull it’s just not the done thing.

When I was setting the game up it came to me to use the die in deployment of the two sides too.  It does seem to work.

There are some new Spanish Civil War pics on my blog with an extract from my Arriba é Non Pasaran rules.  It deals with the Unit Card Deck and the Event Table that drives the game.

If it is of interest here is the link.
