27/10/2017 at 17:12 #74976Ali Dogan SayinerParticipantAnd much good thing is, this board will join an art exhibiton in my city with other local artists.

27/10/2017 at 22:00 #75015Thaddeus BlanchetteParticipantDid you use florist’s foam for that? How did you cut it?
We get slapped around, but we have a good time!

It’s simply the washing sponge . I plucked the sponge with my fingers than placed them in a cup filled with acrylic and pva glue. So they have their colors and I used hot glue to attach them on board.

It looks like you used the green floral foam also known as oasis bricks.
28/10/2017 at 10:24 #75059Thaddeus BlanchetteParticipant^What he said.
Did you use this stuff, Ali? https://oasisfloralproducts.com/e2wShoppingCatalog.aspx?parentId=3100003026
It’s a beautiful piece!
We get slapped around, but we have a good time!

No I used styandard isolation foams in Turkey which is about 20mm thick. very easy to cut and sand.

29/10/2017 at 13:56 #75130greg954ParticipantYes sir! Very green, but also very good!
I absolutely love that crashed ship. Fabulous, really inspirational.
30/10/2017 at 13:42 #75209Angel BarracksModeratorSo much win.
First thing that struck me was the fact it was not flat, seems obvious but so many tables are so right away this adds interest.
(well the first thing was the colour!)Then I thought it was laid out kind of like a film set, or a promotional poster for a game or something.
Good balance and layout of features. Then you have a look and see the details.
The scrape marks where the ship crash landed.
The lake/pool.
The crater and the eggs.
The green (overcome by nature?) buildings.
The dinosaur.
The Flak Worm eating (?) the crashed tank.So many little things that make you ask, ‘what happened here’ and ‘what happens next?’
Though of course what happens next is up to you when you play.
I can see 6mm sci-fi like Predator on that board.
Take a few things off and you have Indiana Jones / King Kong / Pulp / Centre of The Earth type games.I want to play on it now, but at the same time with my little solider head on, it would be a hellish place to have to fight.
It is very very cool.
