Played a couple more games of S&S, AARs at the blog here: http://nickthelemming.wordpress.com/2014/09/25/sword-and-spear-a-loss-and-at-last-a-win/
The first was a thrashing inflicted by the French against my English HYW, the second a victory for the English against the Golden Horde. Learned a few things (what does and doesn’t work as tactics), the first game saw the French knights outflank me and roll me up; in the second I managed to anchor my flank with woods and intersperse heavy foot with longbowmen, who had the advantage of range over the Mongols’ bows.
