AB appear to do every variant of a 8.8cm FlaK crew apart from a bog standard non-winter army one. Is this correct? If this is indeed the case does anyone have a view on which manufacturer would be the next best? Thanks.

I may be mistaken, but I could have sworn that I painted a standard Army 88 crew for Mike Hickling when he ran the UK manufacturing side of AB. Perhaps the masters for that set never got to Nic or needed re-mastering, or simply got lost down the back of the sofa? Or perhaps my memory is just hazy and I’m conflating the Army PaK 40 crew with the SS 88 crew…?

I can’t see an army ‘88’ crew listed on Fighting 15s website, nor on AB Australia. Difficult to imagine that they never considered making a set though.

Agreed. Unfortunately, alcohol has killed a lot of braincells in the intervening 10 years… 🙁 Piers Brand would probably know for certain if such a set existed.

I thought about Piers’ work and fortunately I managed to find the very post I was looking for. This is the vehicle that I want the crew for.

And there’s the answer. Converted AB figures plus some SHQ.
