Marvelous work, Michael. You are a talented hand at the brushwork! Can you give a hint as to what figures are in the works?

Don’t want to say just yet, need to make sure I can mould/cast it.
It will be my most ambitious piece yet though…

I broke down my game table and cleared off the grass mat and europian terrain, so as to re-dress it with my desert mat and middle eastern terrain to playtest Crom. Still, need to get the rules printed and suitable figures painted up.

Well, after months of resisting yet another period/size combo, I’ve finally succumbed to 15mm fantasy and ordered a bunch of Copplestone & Ral Partha 15mms

I didn’t entirely want to copy Mike’s efforts, so instead of using the Barbarian Heroes, I’ve gone for the Northlander Characters. Going to place an order for some buildings with a Canadian blacksmith later …

I think maybe that blacksmith has reported me as a spammer, I can’t log into FB as my account is blocked and I can’t see the Crom’s Anvil FB page:

That’s pretty bad, I didn’t think he’d see you as a real competitor. Like you said different market and very little chance of mistaking one product for another.

I have managed to re-activate it thanks to having the foresight to set a back up account as admins on all my pages.
Now it may not be him, but is does seem a coincidence..
However my day to day FB account is still blocked.

This means war!  Gather the supplies, rally the troops, time to crush some skulls!

    Oh sorry.

What about a quick name change to The Legend of Crom’s Anvil?

I thought Canadians were supposed to be peaceful?

Well with FB keeping all reports as anonymous I can’t be sure who it is.
I can think of no-one else with a grudge.
Oh well eh, onwards and upwards!

OK matey, I have just bought a handful of your figures.

If you do want to ‘refund’ me for the huge postage costs just chuck in a couple more figures – any of them, they are all good 🙂

These will become leaders and characters for the several packs of Copplestone Barbarica figures I just got. Hyboria here I come!

    Cheers,
    Craig

    Update.

I have finished the 6mm acw painting commission that was taking up my time, Charlotte is on the mend and the school holidays finish this week.
I have managed to catch up on outstanding orders and found some time to almost finish the first of the market stall pieces, I plan on having 3 items in the set.

here is the almost finished first one.

That’s going to be a very useful bit of terrain. Are you casting it on the base?

I will be making the mould so the base is integral.
But when you order, drop me a note and I can cast it without the base.
With the moulds being inverted I just won’t top it up, thus leaving the base not cast

    🙂

You can see here an example of one of the pieces from the clutter pack cast without the integral base:

Ah yeah course, that makes perfect sense. Those’ll sit nicely outside then tent on a base.

So I had until now based all my trees on individual bases, after they kept falling over I decided to put a few on a bigger less wobbly base.
Much better, I think the 6mm sci-fi skirmish where everything is on an individual base is a habit hard to break.

Spacejacker’s post on jungle trees is an oldie but a goodie on basing trees:

I keep meaning to try it.

    That looks really good.

I always knock things over or bump the table when getting up.  Magnets under the table maybe?

Trying hard to resist the adobes.  I think your desert stuff is really inspired.
