ParticipantCrom Funder ends tomorrow!
Cripes, almost missed this!
Order placed, slipped a couple of little bits in along with the birds and nests, hope that doesn’t over-complicate things your end!

ModeratorCheers my man, no worries at all.
Looks like a warm day of resin casting, a mixed blessing..

ModeratorAm thinking of doing:
Market Stalls.
Small pack of small ruins/rubble as scatter – Small crumbled walls, remains of towers and stuff partially buried in the dirt.
Just ruined walls with no bases, so you can plonk them down on whatever/
Thoughts?

ParticipantI like this idea.

Oh yes! been trying to decide how I’d approach making some. If some enterprising soul was to save me having to figure it out… ;D

A player of adventure games can never, _ever_ have too many ruins to choose from! Another yes from me 🙂

Not sure if this was an adjunct to the previous point about ruins (if so, still yes!), but small bits of ruined scatter? Yes!
TL,DR:
Yes!

ParticipantI would definitely buy those, especially the market stalls and scattered rubble.
I hope you make them generic enough so they can feature in many different styles of fantasy setting.

…and if the goods are separate from the stalls they could find a use outside of fantasy.

ParticipantMarket stalls and various ruins and rubble are always useful. The sort of thing you might add to an order on a whim.
On another note……..Will you ever consider doing event cards or such like? I never see such cards unless it’s part of a model. I’ve always thought about doing my own. But like stats cards I lack the ability to do nice looking ones.

ParticipantYes, I could certainly use all three of these. They’d work for fantasy, Ancient and sci fi settings.
There isn’t much of this around in 15mm.

ModeratorSo best get to work on the ruins and markets then eh!!
Oh, yeah forgot to say.
I will be bringing out some wattle/wicker fences soon so you can add some scatter to villages and towns alike.05/07/2019 at 10:04 #117440Geof Downton

I was about to buy some Baueda fences for a sheep pen, so I’ll hang on for proper West Country hurdles!

ModeratorBird Mould is done, metal birds will be with me Monday / Tuesday and sent out over the following 2 days.
Should be with all EU people by this time next week.
ROW folks will have to wait a touch longer.07/07/2019 at 15:47 #117546Angel Barracks
ModeratorSo working on some wall sections that will have no base, so that you can plonk them down as you like.
And then I found a dog, possibly Irregular Miniatures which I had undercoated but never painted. And the dog just stood there and waited, and then this chap popped up!
I am thinking I need a doggo miniature now.

ModeratorSo here are some WIPs of the sections of unbased ruined walls you can get to plonk down and make into what ever shape you like, there will be a few singles you can use to plug gaps also.
In the background is the beginning of a set ruined piece.

ParticipantGood stuff, defo useful and I thought I had finished my 15mm fantasy scenery.

ParticipantThese look very useful to build larger ruins with.
The dog and archer look great together, you should paint them up 😁.
07/07/2019 at 23:19 #117565Ralph Plowman
ParticipantWalls are looking really good.
Some single row sections that a miniature can see/shoot over would be great too.

ParticipantI was wondering if it would be possible to sell bags with just the resin blocks? So anyone can add to or even build the walls as they please and perhaps cut them to represent rough terrain.
Edit: I think a mix of broken and complete blocks might be best.
Same goes for pillars.

ModeratorOverseas Crom Funders have been posted today via Royal Mail International Signed and Tracked, the EU/UK will be collected tomorrow by the courier and should be with you by the weekend for UK, early next week for the EU.
A couple of orders have been held back at the customers request, so those people need not worry.
Praise Be To Apis!

ModeratorI was wondering if it would be possible to sell bags with just the resin blocks? So anyone can add to or even build the walls as they please and perhaps cut them to represent rough terrain.
The issue from my point of view is that the footprint for a mould that is big enough to say hold all those walls as single bricks would be massive.
You would have to take all the bricks off and make sure there is enough space around each single brick.
The mould could be 5 times as big or more.Or, I could make a mould that holds a quarter of the constituent bricks, but then I would have to pour it four times to achieve the same result.
So whilst it is of course possible, I don’t want to!
😛

In the background I also spy the wicker fences you mentioned – I already have a set of the Baueda ones, with an eye to getting more…
But if Crom’s is going to have their own available, I’ll wait for those!

ParticipantGot my stuff today too. I’ll second that “great stuff” comment.
The nest is very neat too.
Impressed as always!
Terror Birds are a monster type in Elder Scrolls Online – must study the colour scheme … in between blatting them with necromantic magic 🙂

Moderator32 degrees / 90 degrees.
It is truly the Burning Sands. It may be too hot to finish painting the ruined walls to get them on the site, it may also be too hot to paint my new wattle/wicker fence sections to get on the site too.
You will have to put up with this crummy photo for now!!

ParticipantEven here in Australia we’re feeling the warm temperatures, with sometimes 20° and over in the middle of the winter, a big difference with last year.
I hope you manage to keep it cool over there.
Terrain looks great!
