Just watched Ong-Bak 3, to make sure I wasn’t recommending a bad film. As an actual martial arts film it’s the least memorable of the series, but still above average. More importantly, as “accidental” swords-and-sorcery inspiration it’s even better than I remember 2 being (though admittedly it’s been over 10 years since I saw that one). It’s a bit slow and mystical in places, but nonetheless full of good visual inspiration for anyone wanting to do swords-and-sorcery adventures in a southeast Asian milieu. It even has the actual sorcery in it.

By the gods I had forgotten the Burning Sands cards!!

I have added a new sheet that has the cards for the newer models!

“…so grant me one request. Grant me cards! And if you do not listen than to hell with you!”

Off-topic: BTW, I don´t know what has exactly changed, because I didn´t change anything yet, but I don´t had to login since my post in that thread. Something seems to work.

I know I’m a right technophobe and all but what in hell’s teeth is a Keen page? It looks like some sort of e-scrap book with “stuff” on it, your case CA.

It is Googles version of Pinterest, but it has an AI that searches the net for things it thinks you may like and suggests them for you.
So rather than you just storing things you find online, it is that with suggestions.

Doing 4 more jungle scatter bases and 3 small bits.
Just waiting on the glue to dry and seal the scatter, then onto the leafage and bushage and tuftage etc, which is by far the best bit of it all.

How will they get inside with the stone blocking the doorways???

I expect it’s going to be the desert noblewoman’s palace, but at this stage the general shape of the thing makes me see a small roadside Nevada casino

That is just a support to hold the door in place.
With all the filler slapped over it, it would get on the door.
So I put the door on later, however pushing the door into the doorway would mean it just falls over, so I will push it against the block which will hold it in place.

    😀

A rough coating of the filler which is sanded and then another smoother coating which will be sanded in the morning..

    I find that:

A: The gap in the roof, the crack, however hairline is off putting.
B: The model people are not to scale (they are just representations of people) so actual to scale furniture would look too small, and furniture made to fit in with the unproportioned figures would not fit in that footprint.
C: The bases on the figures would get in the way of furniture and all that anyway.

Completely agree. If I have to have the inside playable I don’t bother with roofs at all.

Mike, if Rhoderic is right on this one you should think about the “for private use only”. You know that a palace or villa for Yassi is on my wishlist.

I reckon it should be a brothel. Those sailors coming into port after spending months on the southern oceans. Are going to need their horizontal refreshment.

Have to agree – if insides are needed move it off the table to floor plans sized suitable for the figures and bases.

Really coming along quite nicely.  Amazes me how effortless you make it look to end up with such a great final product.

The pirates look mighty good as well.  I hope we sea them soon!
