Hey all, inspired by the WFB 10mm posts i decided to try it for myself and orderd some cracking “not gamesworkshop” 10mm models off of etsy, they came out wonderfully and arrived in jsut a few days. I got a £12.00 “starter” set from a seller https://www.etsy.com/uk/listing/1063552570/wood-elves-vs-vampires-starter?ref=hp_rv-5(here) and they’re amazing, not a single repeated model, i’m truly quite astonished and they’ll do perfectly to get the juices flowing. I’m going to be using the free age of fantasy regiments rules which are also awesome looking and very simple, i am leaning toward simple rules these days for sure.

    Will post updates soon.

Cool beans, I was going to say wait!!! that is not WFB, then I saw this:

    Fair.

I have not played Warmaster, but I am not sure they should be calling that a starter army?
BUT, aslong as you have fun that is all that matters.

Absolutely not enough i agree! However i’m knee deep in a bunch of projects (and secretly hope to convince a friend to buy for this project, so small is a good way to go to start.)

Those look awesome! Keep us posted when you paint them.

I am glad that the seller is not in the US, because I would have bought some of those even before I got my 15mm game off the ground 😛 but looking at all the cool 10mm stuff on this forum, I do want to get some armies done eventually.

Managed to get the tiniest bit of work done on these. I tend to just sit and stare are small scales, they are relatively boring and unsatisfying to paint for me, they just kind of annoy me, but playing small scale brings me such joy, such a dichotomy, anyway i got a test strip done for the zombies and painted the wood elf treeants.

That is some great painting, and even more so for being 10mm.

Thanks mike. Its a technique i got from games workshop ages ago. Incremental layers of an almost toxic green color.
