Thanks Willz! Yeah, those Saxon-Polish Chevauxlegers are very colourful and VERY useful for the period, as they turn up in a few pivotal battles.

Strangely enough, I find them a lot easier to paint than Napoleonics. Despite being called ‘The Lace Wars’ there is frequently a lot less lace and especially piping on the uniforms than in the Napoleonic Wars. The French in particular are very straightforward until you delve into the fancy German regiments. their hussars also didn’t often turn up in pitched battles, so you don’t have to paint those either! 🙂
