    The last week was a its and bobs sort of week on the painting table. I finished a few pieces that were destined to hover around in perpetuity if they didn’t get any attention so I’m happy overall

    In answer to your question; I didn’t sculpt them though if I had the talent I would certainly try! 🙂  One is taken from the Foundry Viking range and another from the Perry Miniatures Crusades range. I simply attached a spear, filed down plastic helmet and shieldon one base and  a daneaxe on the other base before the old grass tufts. I tried to make the weapons appear as it they had been dropped in a natural manner, which was not as easy as first meets the eye on 40mm diameter bases.

    I might order some Victrix Anglo Danes/Late Saxons and Vikings and try to kit-bash some casualties- funnily enough I hadn’t thought of that until you asked about sculpting lol
