…using Polemos Napoleonic rules this time: http://hereticalgaming.blogspot.co.uk/2015/05/quatre-bras-reloaded-polemos-marechal.html
That’s very interesting, there was a QB scenario in the first edition of Polemos, looks like they lost it in the second edition.
I was always put off because the scenario graphic always looked jammed packed with bases, which reminds of the track to track observation of some WWII games – but you game looks like there was good room to manoeuvre, so perhaps i have just misinterpreted the scenario map in the rule book and companion set.
Norm, no you haven’t misremembered at all. There is a Quatre Bras scenario in the rulebook, but it is designed for the 1 bn = 1 base 6cm = c.100-125m General de Division set. I think the battle is just as easily re-created at a 1 bde = 1 base 6cm = 300m level on a small table. What the published scenario does is use the central portion of the Quatre Bras battlefield on a larger table with a lot more bases, so I wrote my own scenario for the higher level game.
