Help!
I bought the 28 figures in the Blue Moon Manufacturing (Old Glory) “Pirates and Treasure” set (15BUC-101) a few months ago, and had it sitting in a box until this week. I also ordered the 5-figure female set of Pirates from Rebel Minis, which look absolutely compatible with the BMM figures.

But, after priming them (33 figures), I’m starting to get cross eyed. Probably because of the amount of detail that I can now see after applying the primer. They look amazing. I think I could go crazy if I tried painting every little thing on them. (Can you tell yet that I’ve never painted pirates before?)
So, does anyone have photos of what their 15mm or 18mm painted pirates look like? I would prefer to see examples of painted BMM, but would also love to see photos of painted ones from any 15mm makes.
Thanks
PS. By the way, I plan to finally switch over from washers to clear acrylic bases, using a local seller here in the Houston area:

Ouch – I know the ophthalmologist discharged me from hospital care this afternoon but they are crazy and my eyes are not that good 🙂
Two crews can be found on https://mellis1644.wordpress.com/2014/09/11/red-pirate-crew/ (blue linked in text) and the third bunch of scurvy crew at https://mellis1644.wordpress.com/2014/09/21/green-pirate-crew/
I saw these at a show in Kellham Hall but the light was so bad (a big failing of the venue) I just put them back so make sure you have good light.
