    does anybody know any reference to sea walls with round towers in the ancients, like romans etc… Im trying to place my fortress into a period for wargaming I have this so far

    As far as I know, the Romans and Greeks used square towers.  Octagonal and round towers appear in Medieval times.

    thanks, I may have to use it for fantasy like game of thrones or magical battles. BUT still hopeful i can find a historical link

    There are round towers in Malta (but not in a sea wall), used by the Romans but with earlier origins.

    The Roman pharos at Dover Castle is round-ish…

    I found a round tower here Round tower of an ancient Roman fortress . Old town of Antalya, but I dont know if its by the sea.

    this is what im making, can you place it anywhere, Im about to put the sea in
